Description

Snack bar attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service and preparing snacks for our clients. They take specialized orders for cakes and more, take payments, answer the phone, and maintain all of the display cases full and clean. This position requires a lot of customer service as majority of clients will seek out the snack bar for questions regarding the store or other queries. Attendants will support the creation of new and innovative items on the menu as well as ensure that all food, health, and safety regulations are met.  

Requirements

  • Food Workers Card 
  • Have reliable commute to work  
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills  
  • Physical: must be able to stand and move around during the day, lift and carry up to 30 lbs. 
  • Language: Ability to speak and understand English and Spanish 
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, especially around holidays and weekends 
  • Snack bar (Antojitos) and customer service experience preferred  
  • Must have a positive attitude towards customers  
  • Experience with using kitchen utensils for fruit and vegetables (Slicing, dicing, cutting, etc.) 
  • Basic knowledge for using POS systems  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on days with high customer demand and in a dynamic environment  
  • Responsibility and punctuality 

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining an active Food Workers Card* 
  • Have a positive attitude towards safety, follow all health and safety regulations and/or policies to ensure the well-being of others and self  
  • Attend work with company provided uniform and have a tidy appearance 
  • Take payments in a precise and efficient way using a POS system  
  • Ensure that payments are processed correctly (either with cash or card)  
  • Receive customers with a bright, positive, and kind attitude  
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure all client questions/concerns are answered both in person and over the phone 
  • Take special cake/bread/tortilla orders ensuring all details are correctly submitted with extra caution towards dates and times for pickup  
  • Serving food and menu items according to quality standards, proportions, and presentation  
  • Ensure all orders are correct including any special requests (such as extra vegetables, no spice, etc.) before the client receives it  
  •  Consistently check on the freshness of all products in display cases so customers receive the best quality  
  • Cutting fruits and vegetables properly and efficiently for the snack bar and display cases 
  • Refilling fruit and vegetables in the snack area as needed making sure it is never empty  
  • Refilling supplies as needed in the snack area from utensils, cups, plates, etc. to chip bags, sauces, etc.  
  • Ensuring workspace is clean throughout the day for a positive customer experience
