Job Opportunity Details

Bakery helpers are responsible for baking pastries to fill the sweet bread and pastries display cases and ensure they’re always fresh for customers. They provide a wide variety of bread for customers as well as bake cakes for the cake decorating department under the instructions of the Baker. On occasion, bakery helpers also help in creating new recipes for pastries/bread for special occasions, holidays, or when needed.  

• Previous experience baking in a professional environment is preferred  

• Food Workers Card  

• Have experience with general baking supplies (portioning, measuring, weighing, etc.) or willingness to learn 

• Know how to work with basic technology if needed (computers, tablets, email, applications, etc.) 

• Have reliable commute to work  

• Physical: must be able to stand and move around during the day, lift and carry up to 30 lbs 

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, especially around holidays and weekends 

• Know how to properly use and maintain bakery ovens and machinery or willingness to learn
